Can I use my Home Care Package to buy products from Medihub?

Yes — as long as your Home Care provider or case manager allows it, you can use your HCP funds to purchase eligible equipment through Medihub. We support two common ways:

Option 1 — Via Your Home Care Provider or Case Manager

  • Request a formal quote from Medihub that your provider can approve and pay directly.
  • The provider or case manager reviews the quote and, once approved, we deliver your items.

H3: Option 2 — Pay First & Claim Later (If Allowed)

  • You pay for the item upfront via the Medihub website.
  • We send you an invoice.
  • You submit the invoice to your Home Care provider for reimbursement, if your provider permits this.

If your provider allows this method, it offers flexibility and faster ordering.

What kinds of products are eligible under HCP at Medihub?

Here are types of products many HCPs support. Always check with your provider to confirm eligibility:

  • Mobility & Walking Aids: Electric scooters, manual or motorised wheelchairs
  • Bathroom & Safety Aids: Grab rails, shower chairs, toilet raisers
  • Home & Sleeping Aids: Medical beds, patient lifts, adjustable back rests
  • Recovery & Walking Aids: Walkers, rollators, knee scooters,

What to Check Before You Order

  • Is the item approved under your package category? Some providers restrict what types of aids are covered.
  • Do you have enough funding left in the relevant category? Make sure your budget can cover the product.
  • Does your provider allow reimbursement from upfront purchases? If using Option 2, confirm this with your provider first.
  • Do you need custom features (e.g. sizing, accessories)? Let us know — we can help you choose the right specs.
  • Request quotes early. Approval may take time, so requesting your quote early helps avoid delays.

Q: What if my provider rejects the quote after I ordered?
A: We’ll support you. If the order hasn't been dispatched, we can cancel it and refund you (less any transaction fees). If already dispatched, we’ll work with you case-by-case.

Q: Can I use HCP funding to buy consumables or accessories?
A: Some consumables (like cushions or small accessories) might be eligible, depending on your provider. But high-cost consumables often fall under regular maintenance or excluded items. Check with your provider.

Q: How long until I get my equipment?
A: Once your payment or provider approval is confirmed, we process orders typically within 1 business day, and shipping time depends on your location.

Q: What if I don’t use all the funding in my HCP?
A: Unused funds typically roll over to future use in many packages, unless your provider states otherwise. Always check your provider’s policy.
